Zhengzhou, China — November 2025 A delegation from NAT (National Automotive Trading), the official distributor of BYD in Iraq, accompanied by representatives from iQ Cars and Iraqi Automotive Influencers, visited BYD’s global headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Zhengzhou for an exclusive three-day program that highlighted the brand’s innovation, production excellence, and global vision for sustainable mobility.
The visit, hosted by BYD’s executive team, included a full agenda of technology showcases, test drives, and factory tours — offering a firsthand look at how BYD is shaping the future of electric mobility worldwide.
The visit began at the BYD Zhengzhou Circuit, where participants witnessed the Megawatt Flash Charging display, a revolutionary fast-charging solution for next-generation EVs. The delegation then attended an executive meeting followed by test drives of BYD’s latest models and a guided tour of the showroom, where the brand’s design and engineering achievements were on full display.
A visit to the Zhengzhou production facility in the afternoon showcased BYD’s advanced manufacturing capabilities, from automated assembly lines to sustainable energy integration. The day concluded with executive interviews, a car dance performance, and a networking dinner celebrating BYD’s global success.
Participants explored the BYD Di-Space Center, an interactive hub dedicated to smart mobility, digital technology, and connected vehicle ecosystems. The day also included time for cultural exchange and informal networking, closing with a Ruyi Lake evening program that reflected BYD’s blend of innovation and cultural appreciation.
The final day opened with a U9 dance show and an exciting test drive session at the Zhengzhou Circuit. Attendees experienced BYD’s cutting-edge performance firsthand — including the YANGWANG U8 in a live off-road demonstration.
A highlight of the visit was the meeting with Stella Li, BYD’s Vice President, who shared insights on the brand’s strategy in the Iraqi market. When told that BYD sold 129 vehicles within the first six hours of launching in Iraq, Li expressed her excitement:
“It’s amazing to see the beginning of BYD’s success in Iraq. We believe BYD can soon become the number one automotive brand in the country.”
On the possibility of assembling BYD vehicles locally in Iraq, she added:
“It’s still early for that step. First, we want to understand the market deeply and ensure the technology and ecosystem are ready to support BYD’s growth.”
This visit marks a new chapter for BYD and NAT’s partnership — reinforcing their commitment to bringing sustainable innovation to Iraq’s fast-evolving automotive market. With the strong digital presence of iQ Cars, Iraq’s largest automotive marketplace with over 5 million downloads and 700,000 registered users, BYD’s journey in Iraq is set to accelerate further.
Together, BYD, NAT, and iQ Cars are not just selling cars — they’re driving the future of mobility in Iraq.
